Hi All,
I'm currently doing some research into demonic possession vs mental health.
I work for the Ambulance Service as an EMT so this not only fascinates me, but helps me understand mental health more, trust me it's a big part of our work now days and believe it or not we do not get much training on mental health?
So I'm looking for your input on this.
Now the first thing we need to look at is what the definition of a Demon is -
The term "demon" is derived from the Greek word daimon meaning divine power
The actual translation of demon means "replete with wisdom" noting that the demons were highly knowledgeable creatures
But are they real or just mythical creatures made up?
This depends on who you ask really, according to some religions for example, Christianity, the bible notes in Revelation 12, 7-9, that demons are fallen angels who joined Satan in his rebellion against God and who were defeated and cast out of heaven a long with Satan. Demons continue to serve the Devil in his attempt to lead the world away from God and into sin.
So do you believe in Demonic possession or do you feel it's more to do with mental illness?
I would love to you know your thoughts on this. And if your happy for me to read out your comments on one of our future podcasts?
You can either add your comments on here, or email me at matt@tapitcrew.info, Facebook message me - Matthew Morton-Withers
I look forward to your comments. Thanks Matt
